The House

Agent X called me later to show my a house listing he had just got from folks that were about to face foreclosure. It was on a small street in a suburb of Hartford, Ct. It had nice bones and great potential, after about 20k in work or course! I ended up purchasing the dumpy colonial in February 2008 and rehabbed it to the point of it being like new. New paint, carpet, tile, kitchen, baths, lighting etc. It was gorgeous, it had everything a first time home buyer would want! I couldn't believe how great it came out.

Everyone I knew had something to say getting into the real estate market, believe me, I have heard it all. There was so much flack swirling around. I do have to say that the people closest to me did express their concern, but knew that I was determined anyway and was going to go forward.

The pic on the left is the before exterior. It needed power washing, landscaping and some paint on the porch. Nothing too extensive.
